How many bandages have your kids used this summer? My son had one on just last week, in fact it was an "active" extra cushion bandage by Nexcare. It stayed put! Nexcare bandages have a unique diamond shape. The "island pad" is fully surrounded by the adhesive which creates a seal that will block out dirt and germs.
What a great idea, why weren't there bandages like this before? Nexcare has a full line of bandages that will take care of all your needs.
Active (extra cushion): Foam backing provides extra cushion. Stretches and sticks even to damp skin!
Comfort (fabric): Patented fabric stretches in every direction uniformly so that movement is not constricted.
Waterproof (clear): Unique frame delivery offers easy one hand application of super-thin, clear waterproof bandage.
Heavy Duty (flexible fabric): Ultra tough, durable fabric conforms easily to the body and stays put.
Maybe you have a "Hannah" Montana fanatic or someone with a "Cars" obsession (my son!). Nexcare has you covered with decorated bandages.
The Nexcare website currently has a few coupons for you to print off at home and use. Want to turn your bath into a more relaxing experience? Try a bath bomb from Beyond the Bomb! There is a variety to choose from: bath bombs, benefit bombs, even bath bombs for kids! What kid wouldn't love to take a bath with a football shaped bath bomb, a duckie, or a "surprise" bath bomb that contains a few little toys on the inside that are revealed when the bath bomb fizzes away. FUN FUN FUN!
Don't take baths? That's okay, try one of the Benefit Bombs. Just let it fizz away on the shower floor and experience the same effects. These bombs contain 100% essential oils and may help with medical conditions or a stuffy nose...imagine that! Click HERE for all the benefits the bath bombs provide.

As parents I think we're always looking for something original for our kids not only with toys but with clothing. We want something durable, wears/plays well and can outlast the most rough and tumble tike. Where do we find these great products? Don't worry, that's why we're here- to give you the scoop on what WE think is the latest and greatest. I was reading Tedda's blog and wanted to include this excerpt...
"My kidswear and toys encourage play without robbing children of their own creativity and letting them take control. One of my capes can become a shield, blanket, disguise, hair, proof of being super, gravity tester, fashion statement, or anything else a child would like to pretend. so let your kid be a pirate and please don't just limit her/his seas to the Caribbean. let your child be a princess, but not only jasmine, snow white, or ariel. "

I was fortunate enough to come across one special product, the Hugablock.

Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile soap is amazing. Not only does it have a ton of uses but it's safe, non-toxic and it works like magic. I heard about Dr. Bronner's awhile back so I thought I would give it a try. I bought the Almond and the Peppermint scent and I love the fresh smell both scents leave behind. I use it diluted with water as a multi-purpose cleaner for my counter tops and sinks. I also use it as a mop solution. My husband is notorious for leaving greasy fingerprints on the garage door after working on his motorcycle. One squirt of Dr. Bronner's and the grease just melted away. It also is safe to use on painted surfaces unlike the eraser cleaners that can remove some of the finish layers.
Dr. Bronner's is "Unlike any you’ve ever used. A combination of organic extra virgin coconut, olive, jojoba and hemp oils, together with pure essential oils, creates a unique soap that cleans effectively without being aggressive and produces a velvety-lather that leaves the skin silky-smooth and refreshed."
I have found my new soap. You can even use it as a hand soap and shampoo. Check out their website to learn more about this magical soap.
We have some great items for you...stay tuned!

I purchased this computer keyboard wrist support pillow & mouse pillow from Home Grown Pillows and I love them! Fast delivery and perfectly sewn.
Cloth diapering is very addictive. I got into it about 4 months ago and I enjoy trying new things and finding cute, fun diapers for my son and daughter to wear. I especially enjoy finding products made by WAHMs. I received a diaper cover from Smallish Things and I was so excited to try it out.
This cover is made very well. The attention to detail is fabulous. It has a layer of aqua PUL with a white fleece trim around the leg openings and waist. The fit is perfect on my 7 month old daughter. I used her as my model and tested this diaper cover out over the course of 3 days. I used it over a Kissaluv Fitted Size 1, a Little Lions Premium Prefold, and a WAHM fitted. In all three instances, the cover kept Maddie's clothes dry and I did not experience any leaks even though there was an episode with the prefold (I won't go into details). The pull-on style of this cover makes for easier diaper changes and a tighter fit. I would recommend this diaper cover to anyone. Enjoy these pictures of the diaper cover in action:
"I am a slightly crazy full-time mom, part-time seamstress, and very-part-time wedding photographer working and living with my husband, two daughters and two cats in the 800 square foot basement suite we call home (hence the slight craziness ). I love all things creative, and am always looking for ways to turn my habits, um, I mean hobbies, into a way to bring in a little extra money."
Besides diaper covers, Smallish Things offers baby wipes, burp cloths, birth announcements, doll diapers and more. Check out Smallish Things' Etsy site here. You're sure to find something for the little one in your life.

Recently I've started to look for more natural, earth friendly bath products to use on myself and my kids. I want to get away from using all the chemicals that are in most mass produced products. I heard about Blue House Soaps on a message board and I thought I would try them out. I ordered the shampoo bar samples and the Aloha Conditioner.
They came in the mail and I was pleasantly surprised by how cute they were packaged. I couldn't wait to try them. I was a little nervous at first switching to a bar style shampoo instead of the traditional liquid but I was pleased at the lathering ability of the bar and it made my hair feel and smell super clean. I have several more samples to try but I am already postive that I have found a new way of washing my hair.
Here is a little bit about Blue House Soaps:
"Blue House Soaps is your source for all natural soap, shampoo bar, cloth diaper care, and a complete line of natural bath and body products.
Our soaps are handcrafted in the old fashioned cold process method and fabric wrapped, making them perfect for gift giving or display."
Even if you are not as daring as me to try bar shampoo, Blue House Soaps offers a wide range of products to enjoy. Visit their website here and see for yourself.

Yes, we know it's been awhile since our last post!
