I think it's safe to say that fall is hands down my favorite time of year. Cooling weather, changing leaves and PUMPKINS! I have had a bit of a love affair with pumpkins for as long as I can remember. I do a little happy dance when the first pumpkins show up in the stores. One of the first things I think of making is pie, of course. I was flipping through a magazine and saw the words pumpkin, cheesecake and cupcake and I knew I had to make it.

Cheesecake-Filled Pumpkin Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS
8oz cream cheese, room temperature
1/2C confectioners sugar
2 large eggs, plus 5 large egg whites
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2C flour
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2tsp baking powder
3/4tsp salt
1C pumpkin puree
1C granulated sugar
1/2C vegetable oil
1C light brown sugar
simmering water
3 sticks unsalted butter, cut into tbsp pieces and chilled

DIRECTIONS
Place a rack in the lower third of the oven and preheat to 350. Line a 12 cup muffin pan with liners. Beat the cream cheese and confectioners sugar until combined and then beat in 1 egg white and 1/2tsp vanilla, set aside. In a small bowl, whisk the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt. In another bowl, mix the pumpkin, 2 eggs, granulated sugar, oil and 1 tsp vanilla. Whisk the flour mixture into the pumpkin mixture until well combined. Alternate layers of pumpkin batter and cheesecake batter (pumpkin-cheesecake-pumpkin) and bake until springy to the touch, about 25 minutes. Let cool and make the frosting. Using an electric mixer beat the brown sugar, remaining 4 egg whites and 1/4 tsp salt. Fill a saucepan with a small amount of water and bring to a simmer. Place the mixing bowl on top and whisk mixture until it registers 160 on an instant read thermometer. Transfer the bowl back to the mixer and beat at high speed until fluffy, then at medium speed until room temperature, about 5 minutes. Add the butter 1 tbsp at a time and beat at high speed for 5 minutes. Beat in the remaining vanilla and frost cupcakes

He likes to find the correct numbers and make it back to the column of stars before the time is up. He is very proud of himself when he wins a sand dollar. He also likes to dress his Jumpee up for the runway show. In the past few days that we have been playing Escape From Adventure Island, he has learned to navigate his way around the game with ease and has even begun to recognize a few sight words. The game is user friendly and provides a variety of games for your child to play.

Given that I have a 3 year old that really wanted to play the game. I simplified the game by taking away everything except the dice, game piece and the actual board game itself. As we each rolled the dice we would read the square we landed on. Some of the squares have such sayings as "Discuss the family fire exit plan" or "Who is a stranger on the internet?". This game is great for for discussing safety issues with your child.

My son enjoyed looking through the potty book and listening to the music. What he really loved was the novelty button. Lots of applauding and "you did a great job". As a parent I appreciated the helpful hints. Not only are you your child's training "coach" but it's important that you have the right attitude as well. While it can be a frustrating proposition, your child will be ready when they are ready. We have had some struggles and set backs and that's okay. You're not a terrible parent, just keep it up with lots of praise and your kiddos will get there. That's what I keep telling myself!

The teacup necklace makes a perfect party favor for adults and children alike. Each teacup necklace comes with an 18" gold chain, however, since this is a custom product, you can choose a shorter chain or even a bracelet.
The Teacup itself is about 1" in diameter.
Each teacup is made from plastic, but is embellished with paint and a swarowski crystal.
The Periwinkle Blue Teacup included a Sapphire Crystal.

We loved how cute and whimsical the necklace was right out of the bag. While the base teacup is made from plastic, it is embellished so beautifully, you really have to look to notice. Personally, I thought it was a thin porcelain when I first saw it. The Gold paint and whimsical white stripes make this adorable charm so much fun to wear. Love Your Bling has taken it above and beyond, by adding a Swarowski Crystal to the inside of the cup.

When you wear the necklace, the first thing that everyone sees is the beautiful crystal highlighted by the fun teacup.

I also like how each chain is 18", perfect to keep with the informal cuteness of the charm.
I allowed my 10 year old to try it on, it has since been "borrowed". I'm not sure I will get it back.
The Teacup necklace is obviously fun for all ages.
