I'm in love with my new Etsy find...the "samantha" coffee corset (pictured to the left) by Jenn Gee. I ordered one for myself and two for my best friend's birthday. She received her corsets before me and raved about them! I just received mine and it's fabulous! I'm drinking a vanilla latte right now with my sweet little corset wrapped around the cup. A great eco friendly choice over the usual paper sleeves. A wonderful easy transaction and Jenn was SO great to work with. Even my husband said it was "cute" and he never says anything is cute...so there ya go!

A little bit about Jenn Gee...

I'm Jenn George (otherwise known as Jenn Gee here on Etsy). In 1995 I touched a sewing machine for the first time and I have been hooked ever since.

I have dabbled in lots of crafts, but everything seems to come back to me sitting in front of a machine with the pedal to the floor. My first love is quilting, but since I'm an instant gratification kind of girl I've been moving more and more into the world of smaller pieces. Handbags and my signature Coffee Corsets have become a real obsession for me! I also enjoy creating my own fabric with inks/dyes/paints, carving my own stamps (for the same purpose), painting and embossing metal hardware, machine needle felting, cross stitching, and hand embroidery.

The idea for the Coffee Corsets came to me quite by accident! I'd made a few coffee cuffs, but I was unhappy with the "lump" that was formed at the seam. One day the thought of lacing them up popped into my head and I created one for myself. So many people asked me about my Coffee Corset that I decided to go online and sell them here at Etsy ... and the rest is history!

Jenn is having a sale until July 15th all corsets are $10.00!

At Frank and Me, you will find all kinds of wonderful little goodies. Lauren, owner and designer, sews up a storm! You will find stroller blankets, capes (love these!), boo boo packs, swipers, washcloths and even burp monsters.

How much fun would your child have wearing a blankie cape or a play cape? I can see my son wearing one when he's a little older climbing all over the furniture and speeding through the house! Nothing like a little prop to spark the imagination.

We love Frank and Me's fabrics and impeccable attention to detail. You will too...check them out!

A little from Lauren...

Hi, what can I say.....I am a hard workin' mama of a VERY BUSY two year old, here in sunny Bend, Oregon.

I started sewing when I was 4 or 5 and used to make barbie clothes and sell them to my sisters. Who knew I would be here 26 years later? I am turning 30 in a week and I am sure I am entering a midlife crisis, including always tired, and getting fat.

I sew from 7 in the morning until midnight some nights, and I walk my son to the post office every day, while balancing packages on his stroller. I graduated OSU with a bachelors of liberal arts when my son was 1, and it was pretty cool walking at graduation with my son watching me.

I make all kinds of baby things that I find useful in my every day life. It didn't always start like this though. When I was pregnant, my best friend and I crocheted baby hats, and being on bedrest, I crocheted hundreds! We were sure we were on to something and were going to sell these baby hats for a great profit. Little did we know that as soon as I gave birth, that a baby head is much....much....larger than I thought. I have hundreds of baby hats that fit on a ripe apple...or a peach...but a baby head....no.

So then we decided to embellish onesies with embroidery floss, which seemed like a great idea...but the inside was littered with knots where we tied off the thread, and proved to be not very baby friendly.

Then, I bought fabric crayons and started to color on the onesies and hand dye them, wash them, dry them, wash them, dry them....and then sell them. They looked so cool and were so so so soft...but way too time consuming.

And now, I am here....Frank & Me. I have a website that I am trying to design myself at www.shopfrankandme.com (I have no idea how to design a website mind you. ) And I run my little etsy shop. My shop allows me some time for myself and some income to help around the house. I love what I do, and I love my customers, who in turn....love my shop! I giggle that my customers are constantly purchasing things, and I seem to know them on a first name basis now.

Borsa Bella

Handbags are one of my favorite things. I love finding the perfect purse or bag that is functional and stylish. I have many purses in my collection but I always seem to find new ones that I long to own and have to buy. Being a Mommy, I like to find a bag that will look great and also accommodate all of endless things I need to have without looking like a "diaper" bag.

I think I might have found handbag nirvana with Borsa Bella Designs. Borsa Bella offers "perfect handmade retro fabric purses and bags for every day, every outfit and every attitude." These bags are unique and beautiful to look at. The options are endless..totes, purses, diaper bags, handbags, cosmetic bags, and so much more. Whatever your style or need, Borsa Bella has you covered.

Here's a bit about the Borsa Bella team:
"Located in Wenatchee, the apple capital of the world, Borsa Bella is the wonderful fashion bag company of Melissa Wisen and Lisa Nelson. Melissa and Lisa met about 4 years ago. Both new mothers at the time, they shared quite a few common interests that included a love for beautiful functional purses and handbags.

As avid sewers, they soon started making their own totes and hand bags for family and friends. There was such an overwhelming public interest in their bags, they began designing & sewing bags to sell. This cottage industry has bloomed into a wonderful business. With such an extensive background in fashion and design, they are creating modern hand bags and purses out of the coolest and hip fabrics from around the world. These quality handbags are sure to please."

I think I'll be visiting this site again and again until I can decide on which one I have to buy. I've fallen in love with all of the fun prints and designs, that it will be a very hard decision to make. Check them out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Knitting is a talent that baffles me. My mom taught me to crochet, and I crocheted a pathetic pink scarf a couple of years ago but that's the extent of my yarn abilities!

I do appreciate talent when I see it and I'm sure you will too when you take a look at Nini's Handmades. Her products include baby hats, purses, pouches, and pencil cases. I'm sure you have some treasures that need safe keeping right? Many of the items have a sweet treat theme...cupcakes, lollipops & candies...so cute!
Check out her Etsy shop!

A bit about Nini's Handmades:

I am a 33year old Homemaker from Virginia, i have 2 wonderful children in the ages 7 and 3 and the reason why I needed a soothing hobby. They are the reason I picked up my needles and started to knit and sew again. My husband has learned to coexist with knitting needles and threads and yarns. I was born and raised in Germany, and have been creatively influenced by the ladies in my family.

I have been knitting and crocheting (?) since i was 7.I love creating wearable, adorable items. I Thank God for my talent, and am very thankful that HE decided to bless me with a set of creative Hands. I hope you will enjoy each and every item I create. 10% of each Item sold is going to the LIFE OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL towards feeding the hungry and digging of wells around the world.

Thank YOU so much for stopping by please keep coming back, because I am putting out new items almost everyday.

I went grocery shopping yesterday and picked up two of Mrs. Meyer's cleaning products:

LAVENDER LIQUID HAND SOAP
Hands have never had it so good. Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lavender Liquid Hand Soap contains Aloe Vera Gel, Olive Oil and a unique blend of essential oils to create a hard working, yet softening cleanser for your busy hands.
AND
BABY BLOSSOM SURFACE SPRAY
Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Baby Blossom Surface Spray is a naturally fresh way to keep baby's things and play area clean and free of odors. Plant-derived ingredients work to gently clean and freshen.

I love them! They both smell wonderful and who doesn't like a great smelling product that really works? They carry numerous products such as hand soap, all purpose cleaner, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, surface wipes, even pet items for that extra stinky puppy!
And what's even better about Mrs. Meyer's cleaning products?
1. We use naturally derived ingredients whenever possible from corn, sugar cane, coconut and palm. Our fragrances contain natural essential oils and other non-natural ingredients to ensure safety, consistent performance and quality. Our products DO NOT contain ammonia, chlorine or phosphates.
2. Mrs. Meyer’s makes environmentally friendly, biodegradable cleaning products.
3. Our products are a mixture of water, plant derived ingredients, essential oils and other fragrance raw materials.
4. No Animal Testing
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day manufactures cruelty-free cleaning products. None of our products have ever been tested on animals, and never will be.
5. Allergy Specific Information
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products do not contain any tree nut derived ingredients, and are not exposed to peanuts in the manufacturing process. With the exception of our Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Oatmeal Pet Shampoo, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products are also gluten-free and do not contain any oat, barley, or wheat-derived ingredients. We do not use any artificial colors in any Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products
Special Note:
Hypoallergenic
The products are not hypoallergenic due in large part to being highly fragranced. Allergic reactions are individual responses and, if a person has a known allergy to something that may be contained in our products, they will most likely have the reaction to that specific ingredient. The products do not provoke allergies in non-allergic people. Please keep in mind that even natural, essential oils may cause an allergic reaction to people who are allergic to these substances.
If strong fragrances do not bother you then I would give these products a try. You can find them at most grocery stores in the "natural" section or order online.

Oliver Lane

I was introduced to Jill of Oliver Lane via a give-away win! I won a onsie/shirt of my choice. When I checked out Oliver Lane's Etsy shop I was in heaven! So many items to choose from, how could I pick just one item?
After much deliberation I settled on the Toddler Striped Monogram Tee (Brown & Blue) for my son. I was shocked when I received it in the mail two days later AND it was sweetly packaged...I love that! Talk about great customer service!
Jill is offering a wide array of adorable designs for your little one. Everything from sushi prints to cupcakes to puppies! Why not dress your little rocker in the "Time for your Drum Solo" onsie? Or prep them up in the Argyle designs!
We love the "Mommy needs a..." line, especially the chocolate burpie. You get the chocolate minus the calories!

A little bit about Jill and Oliver Lane

I've always been a clothes & fashion addict. I attended design school a couple of years ago and worked for a while in product development at various companies, but I always longed to have ownership over my designs. I was intrigued by children's clothes because I felt there was a certain sweetness & modern aspect missing. I try to take typical designs & add a little zing!

A lot of my inspiration comes from home decor & patterns. I also get great ideas from customers - & I love to create custom designs.I opened the virtual doors to Oliver Lane in January, and I am currently expanding the baby & toddler line.
While I'm a very devoted auntie, I'm not a mamma myself yet. My hubby & I hope to start a family sometime next year. For now we live with our two furry children, cats Pandora & Tangerine.

Jill has been kind enough to offer Mammalicious Finds readers a 10% discount off your purchase. Simply enter "mammalicious" under the notes to seller section upon checkout.
We can attest that Oliver Lane designs are kid tested and mother approved!

We've all heard the stereotype that women love shoes right? Why do you think that is? Could it be because it's true?

I have to admit I've never met a woman who didn't own a ton of shoes and loved shopping for shoes! So I guess there might be some truth to this stereotype...maybe.

I'll speak from my own personal experience, I LOVE shoes, especially the "fancy" ones. However, I've left my single days behind, as well as the spontaneous night out with girlfriends where dressing up and slipping into our fabulous shoes was a thrill. In its place ... a happily married, working at home mom of one 21 month old spitfire who wears only tennis shoes (I love my life!). The only action my "fancy" shoes see is when my son crawls into the closet to bring them to me while I fold laundry on the bed. So...I put them on and fold the laundry!

You might expect a woman or her teenager to have a collection of high heels, but what about your baby?

You're going to crack up when you see these shoes from Heelarious!
It's okay...laugh...and then oooh and ahhh over the cute factor.

We're happy to announce that now your little princess can be as fashionable as you are!

The Heelarious Story-

heežlaržižous [he-lair-ee-uhs] - noun: extremely funny, completely soft, fully functional high heel crib shoes for babies.
Not intended for walking (heel will collapse with weight).
Not intended to harm children in any way.
WARNING: May cause extreme smiling and hysterical laughter when in use (this is completely normal).

Britta Bacon & Hayden Porter are childhood friends turned business partners. While Hayden was completely obsessed with high heels, Britta wasn't even sure if she owned a pair. On her way to her daughter Kayla's 4th birthday party, Britta was reminiscing about when Kayla was a baby and Hayden's shoe obsession crossed her mind. She thought to herself "That would have been hilarious if I could have brought Kayla to a party in high heels when she was a baby". It was at that moment that ·heelarious® was born. After 7 years of working together on various projects, Britta and Hayden joined their creative forces to launch ·heelarious®. With safety and comfort as their main concern, Hayden and Britta were successful in creating a soft, fully functional crib shoe designed to look like a high heel. The style names were inspired by their daughters, Kayla and Brooke.
May these shoes bring as many smiles and as much laughter to your life as they have to ours.We hope you enjoy ·heelarious® as much as we do. · Britta and Hayden ·

Check out these hilarious high heels...so cute!

Crunchy Clean

Posted by Mom to 3 Rug Rats | | , | 0 comments »

Since I started cloth diapering about 2 months ago, I've been on the look-out for a laundry detergent that will get my diapers clean without causing build-up problems. I also wanted something that was good for the environment. Crunchy Clean is the solution that fits my needs.

I received my samples last week. I ordered both the regular Crunchy Clean in "Monkey Farts" and "Vanilla" and the cloth diaper version in "Baby Bee." I could tell they were in my mailbox before I even opened it! The smell was fantastic! I tested it out with two loads of laundry. The first load was my diaper load. The diapers came out of the wash cleaner than they had ever been and they had a light and airy scent. I didn't even have to wash them twice which I find I often have to do with other detergents. The next load I washed some kids clothes. Again, they came out super clean with a light scent. It even got out the sweet potato baby food stain.

I am very impressed with this product. There's an endless amount of scents to choose from so you'll never tire from the same old scent. The Momma behind Crunchy Clean is super nice and her shipping is fast. The detergent is priced very well compared to other environmentally friendly products. I will definitely be buying more of this product in the future.

Doing laundry has never been one of my favorite things to do. But now when I go into my laundry room, the Crunchy Clean scent drifts through the air and puts a smile on my face. It makes doing laundry a little less of a chore!

What are Baby Legs? Baby Legs are a fun and easy way to dress up any wardrobe for your baby or toddler. They can be worn multiple ways, either on the legs or the arms, and are made to fit both boys and girls from newborn up to age 10. No, this isn't a flash back to the 80's! Baby Legs are stylish yet very functional. Diaper changes become a snap, little knees are protected when crawling, extra warmth is available when needed, and legs are arms are protected from sun or wind. They can instantly turn any t-shirt into a long-sleeve shirt. Baby Legs are a perfect companion to a onesie or under a skirt or dress. There are so many styles to choose from that you can jazz up any outfit!

So far, I have bought 5 or 6 pairs for my daughter Madalyn. I love them. They are so adorable and I get comments all the time. They are super soft and stretchy and she will be able to wear them for years to come. They work great to keep her legs warm especially when I'm carrying her in my Mei Tai or Moby Wrap. They even help keep her socks on which is a plus since they always fall off! I could go on and on about all the uses for Baby Legs but why not just try a pair for yourself? Trust me, you'll love them!

I purchased mine from Heather at www.mom4life.com. She is so nice and her shipping is free for all U.S. orders.

Have you tried Burt's Bees products yet?? They're made with natural ingredients and great for your skin. I love the Milk & Honey Body Lotion. The perfect remedy for severely dry skin.

"How it Works:
Soothing milk meets honey in this nourishing yet lightweight natural moisturizing lotion. Honey acts as a natural humectant, while aloe and sunflower oil soothe and moisturize. It's perfect for dry and sensitive skin."

I saw an Oprah episode a while back and they were talking about all the yucky things that are in our beauty products, lotions, deodorants, etc. They offered alternatives and one of the alternatives was Burt's Bees. You'll pay a little bit more but it's worth it! Did I mention the lotion smells divine? Yummers!
