It's no secret that I love sweet treats and in fact sell my own bakery style items. It was love at first sight when I came across My Cakies. A shop after my own heart! A beautiful etsy shop full of sweet, unique and even a few pink items. Let your child's imagination run wild with one of My Cakies little crowns. Boys and girls alike will get a kick out of one of these. A prince or a princess...just perfect!

One of my personal favorite items is the Alphabet hair clip. Whether it's a M or a H, you pick the initial and Ruby (owner and designer) will create a custom hair clip just for you.

A little something from Ruby:

"I have two little girls name Brave and True. Yes, their names are really Brave and True! They are the inspiration behind all I do, along with their stud muffin papi, my Benny!I have always enjoyed creating things since I was a little girl.

I remember when I would make my little brother Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle dolls out of brown paper bags... I would draw the characters, cut them out, color them, then staple around them and stuff them with cotton and "VOILA!" He had little stuffed TMNTs.

I have always had a love for making things out of anything...There is such satisfaction in the ability to think of something up in your head and then see it actually come to life!

Though, I have a love for art in all forms... I went into teaching after much debate between being an Art major or Child Development. I taught for a little and then when I popped out my first child, I knew that I just wanted to stay home. And thus, having a little girl re-ignited the artist within me.

Due to lack of funds and wanting something funky (come on a girl named True can't just be ordinary), I started experimenting with felt, fabrics, beads to come up with accessories and clothing that received a thumbs up from their funky, artistic daddy.

So here I am today, just slowly praying and dreaming up ideas for my little girls and ready to share with the other funky art folk out there.

My line is called Cakies because while both my daughters were in the womb, we could not think of/agree on a name, so we called them both Babycakies. Hence, we have Cakies... something sweet for the sweet one in your life."
